Mission Technologies' Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business. As a trusted partner to our military customers, HII designs, develops and operates the largest LVC enterprise that prepares warfighters for cross-domain battle. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business and operational needs
- Gather and translate business requirements into effective data visualizations and reporting solutions
- Collaborate with data teams to acquire, clean, and transform data for use in Power BI
- Create complex DAX calculations and measures to support advanced analytics
- Ensure data models and reports follow security standards and industry best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data sources
- Provide training and support to end users to maximize adoption and effective use of Power BI
- Stay current with new features and trends in Power BI to continuously improve solutions
Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Candidate must be proficient in Power BI development, including creating interactive reports and dashboards
- Candidate must have strong understanding of data modeling, data visualization principles, and Power Query
- Candidate must experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction
- Candidate must have solid knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for building calculations and measures
- Candidate must have familiarity with data warehouse concepts and best practices in structuring data for analytics
- Candidate must have excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Candidate must have strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a focus on clear presentation of complex data
- Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
