Requirements

  • Bachelor's or college degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work authorization to permit employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with United States/North American design standards (IEEE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support tendering engineers for custom/special designs by creating costing BOM and preliminary drawings in CAD.
  • Collaborate with order managers, mechanical, and control engineers on engineering activities.
  • Ensure the design of products and/or systems meets bid requirements and negotiated agreements.
  • Provide technical support to customers and Sales Representatives/Regional Managers.
  • Assist with FAT-related activities at Local Assembly Units (LAU) when required.
  • Create specifications and drawings for capacitor bank components and participate in the approval process.
  • Visit customers and make presentations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
