About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Engineer to lead digital transformation and automation initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, and Microsoft Fabric, to optimize business processes, enhance productivity, and enable data-driven decision-making. A key aspect of this role is establishing and operating robust Power Platform governance and ALM practices, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant adoption across the enterprise while enabling innovation and citizen development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 6–7+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Strong expertise in Dataverse, including enterprise data modeling, security configuration, and integrations with Power Platform and Azure services.
  • Deep understanding of Power Platform architecture, including Dataverse security models, environment strategy, governance, and Azure integration patterns.
  • Proven experience with ALM and CI/CD for Power Platform solutions, including solution packaging, environment promotions, deployment pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Advanced Power BI development experience, including semantic modeling, advanced DAX, dataflows, performance tuning, workspace governance, and enterprise reporting standards.
  • Experience integrating Power Platform and Power BI solutions with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Azure data services.
  • Strong foundation in data modeling, performance optimization, and data gateway management in hybrid environments.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging AI Builder and Copilot, including document processing, prediction models, and natural language capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for business and technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently, lead development efforts, and solve complex technical problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-200 or PL-400 are highly desirable.
  • PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect) certification is a plus.
  • Power BI certification (PL‑300) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
  • Demonstrated change management mindset to drive adoption of governance and compliance best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven) tailored to business needs and enterprise standards.
  • Develop automated workflows with Power Automate to streamline operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Define and implement Dataverse security models, including business units, security roles, teams, and row-level security, aligned with enterprise access and compliance requirements.
  • Leverage AI Builder and Copilot capabilities to automate advanced business processes, enhance insights, and deliver intuitive, intelligent user experiences.
  • Design, build, and optimize Power BI semantic models and dataflows, including advanced data modeling, relationships, and DAX measures.
  • Use Power Query to ingest, transform, and shape data from multiple sources to support analytics and reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Azure-based data platforms.
  • Establish and lead ALM practices across the Power Platform, including environment strategy, solution packaging, deployment pipelines, source control, and controlled promotions.
  • Define and operate Power Platform governance, including environment management, DLP policies, security role management, compliance controls, and gateway standards.
  • Configure and optimize Power BI and Power Platform data gateways, ensuring secure, resilient, and performant hybrid connectivity.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, governed technical solutions.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users and citizen developers.
  • Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates, features, and best practices.

Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
