Individuals in positions allocated to this class perform efficient, courteous and reliable dispatching service involved in the operation of the power system. This includes receiving and dispatching trouble calls and other calls for service, making sound decisions and taking appropriate action by restoring service utilizing supervisory control on transmission and distribution systems in accordance with operating procedures. During the first six (6) months in this classification, work will be performed under the guidance of an assigned Power System Operator II while working their shift. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Energy Control Supervisor who evaluates performance on a periodic basis through monitoring of dispatching service and feedback from operating units.
