This position reports to the Superintendent of Power/Utilities and its primary function is to: Assist the Superintendent and Supervisors with the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities for the Power and Utilities processes, which includes power boilers, turbine generators, electrical distribution, compressed air, incoming water treatment, and effluent treatment. Plan and establish priorities for the assigned area of responsibility. Closely coordinate daily operations with Recaust/Recovery and Pulp operations. Occasionally interact with government regulatory agencies, consultants, or other organizations and professional associations. Manage and lead staff associated with the Power department to achieve the department’s objectives in the areas of safety and health, performance, environmental compliance, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and cost. Promote teamwork and continuous improvement to deliver on all customer requirements and service initiatives.
