The ideal candidate will be responsible for… Managing multiple databases in support of the practice group and clients Preparing correspondence, legal documents, forms, presentations, and the like using intermediate to advanced work processing and technology skills Effectively proofreading and editing documentation for grammatical and typographical errors; providing detailed review of client related documentation to include required signatures Coordinating travel arrangements for legal staff utilizing available resources Forwarding appropriate billing and expense information to Accounting Department in accordance with established firm policy Providing support with processing Professional Activity Expense form (PAE), expenses and reimbursements Assisting LAAs in the group with attorney time entries, reviewing pre-bills and processing client invoices The successful candidate will demonstrate… A minimum of one year of related experience Ability to prioritize work and manage workflow Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong attention to detail, grammar, and punctuation, and the ability to effectively present ideas and findings visually Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with general supervision, and meet routine and unanticipated deadlines Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with external parties and internal personnel either orally or in written form, including use of e-mail system Ability to process firm accounting data related to invoice processing and client billing Ability to assist with and/or manage heavy document production Pay Range for Candidates in Los Angeles: $60,000 - $68,000 per year The range provided is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position.  Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
