The Practice Manager I partners with clinical leadership in dyad model to ensure the efficient and effective operations of one clinics/practice with up to 10 staff members. Provides overall supervision of staff and oversight of all aspects of operations including customer service, budget, risk management, and compliance with organizational and ambulatory care policies, regulations, and standards of care. Accountable for personally monitoring and engaging team members and other resources to improve financial performance, quality, patient experience, and team member performance. Clinical experience and leadership experience in ambulatory care environment preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Justification RMH Primary Care Staunton is experiencing sustained growth and increasing operational complexity, with provider FTEs expanding from 1.1 to 1.9, encounters exceeding 3,300, and gross revenue approaching $827,000. The clinic’s trajectory—bolstered by the addition of a new provider in August 2025, weekly orthopedics integration, and the planned launch of a walk-in lab—positions it to surpass 10,000 wRVUs in 2026. Despite this growth, Staunton remains geographically isolated, located 30 minutes from the nearest RMH practice, and is currently managed remotely by Elizabeth Breaux, who also oversees two other high-volume clinics in Harrisonburg. This dispersed oversight model reduces onsite leadership, delays issue resolution, and increases strain on the manager, creating risks in patient experience, staff engagement, operational consistency, and regulatory compliance. According to the Practice Business Leader Algorithm, Staunton’s mix of primary care, specialty integration, and ancillary services clearly meets the criteria for a Practice Manager II. Establishing a dedicated onsite manager will provide full operational oversight, align leadership capacity with provider and service growth, reduce the burden on the current manager, and ensure safe, compliant, and consistent operations. This investment will strengthen infrastructure to support future expansion, minimize risk exposure, and deliver ROI through improved throughput, enhanced access, and reduced turnover, with the proposed reporting structure of Practice Manager II to the Senior Director of Primary & Med-Specialty Operations.
