About The Position

We are seeking safety minded team members with an attention to detail for a Pre-Press Plate Mounting opportunity in Montoursville, PA on 1st shift (7 AM - 3 PM). The primary function of this position is to support the printing operation by mounting printing plates and preparing printing jobs for the printing department in accordance with the weekly print schedule and maintain the stored printing plates and other equipment needed for plate mounting.

Requirements

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret related documents.

Attention to detail and analytical skills.
Effective written and oral communication skills required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in printing preferred. Manufacturing experience required - 6 months.
Ability to frequently walk, stand for extended periods of time, use repetitive hand motions, and use close visual acuity while performing the duties of the job.
Ability to occasionally sit, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch while performing the duties of the job.
Ability to intermittently lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in printing preferred.

Responsibilities

Mounts printing plates to specification to ensure colors can be easily be placed into registration by the printing press operator.
Communicates with CTP / Pre-Press department, Press Operators, and Printing Manager to determine and meet printing schedule needs.
Assesses the weekly print schedule and determines the most efficient and effective means to complete the schedule in a timely manner.
Monitors the wear on printing plates and sleeves to determine they meet printing specifications and replaces plates and sleeves when needed.
Maintains inventory and coordinates storage of printing plates.
Determines needs of equipment, supplies, and tools for plate mounting and orders when necessary.
Organizes the plate storage area for easy cataloging and retrieval.
Maintain and clean the plate mounter.
