The Preconstruction Engineer assists and supports the progress of existing preconstruction projects to ensure Skanska is completing its work accurately and efficiently. This position performs daily estimating and planning activities including reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, and supports the evaluation of schedule, logistics, safety planning, and logistics. Additionally, a person in this role will quantify architectural, structural, MEP, and civil elements of a project. The Preconstruction Engineer must be able to meet critical deadlines, accurately obtain quantities for building components and have the ability to work as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in measures of length, area and volume calculations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent/applicable degree; or 8 years prior relevant experience.
