About The Position

Canyon State Electric is looking for an experienced Prefab Manager to oversee and expand our electrical prefabrication operations. This position owns the planning, execution, and control of prefab production that supports large commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. The Prefab Manager is accountable for ensuring assemblies are delivered on schedule, install-ready, within budget, and in line with quality expectations. This is a management role, not a bench foreman job.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a electrical Journeyman required, Foreman preferred.
  • Active journeyman electrician license strongly preferred
  • OSHA 30-hour safety certification required
  • NFPA 70E electrical safety certification strongly preferred
  • Deep familiarity with electrical construction practices, tools, materials, and installation techniques
  • Hands-on fabrication experience, ideally within environments that apply Lean manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop team members
  • Proficient using Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and capable of basic model navigation in Navisworks
  • Proven track record of identifying process improvements that save time and reduce costs
  • Strong communication and people skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, evolving setting
  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and delivering results under tight timelines
  • Self-directed, proactive, and able to adjust quickly to shifting business demands
  • Willing and able to travel as project and business needs require

Responsibilities

  • Develop, oversee, and adjust weekly and monthly prefabrication production schedules
  • Prioritize and sequence prefab activities to support field installation sequences and milestones
  • Evaluate, finalize, and authorize prefab build sheets, BOMs, and release packages
  • Direct prefab staffing levels and monitor labor productivity and efficiency performance
  • Track and manage prefab labor costs while capturing and reporting related field labor savings
  • Implement and uphold QA/QC procedures, including all required inspections and sign-offs
  • Coordinate prefab shipment timing and logistics with Project Managers and Superintendents
  • Collaborate with BIM/VDC teams to broaden prefab offerings and increase standardization of assemblies
  • Promote and enforce safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient prefab workspace
