About The Position

Acuity is seeking a Premium Auditor to review and complete mail and fee company audits to accurately summarize exposures for workers' compensation, general liability, and commercial auto policies. The auditor will answer premium audit related questions from underwriters, agents, and customers, as well as review and resolve premium audit disputes. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or direct experience in premium audit.
  • Three years premium audit experience preferred, or insurance industry related experience.
  • Knowledgeable in the areas of workers’ compensation and general liability manual rules.
  • Time management and organizational skills; including the ability to meet and maintain department quality, time service, and productivity standards.
  • Must provide world class customer service with excellent communication through verbal telephone and written email correspondence.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude towards internal and external customers and assigned tasks while striving to reach departmental and company goals.
  • Exhibit proficiency using PC programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as other general PC knowledge.

  • This job is classified as exempt.
  • The salary range for this position is $59,000-$73,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Complete mail premium audits by updating the audit worksheets, determining the proper classification(s), and developing the correct exposure.
  • Review and complete premium audits performed by fee companies.
  • Communicate questions and concerns as needed.
  • Review and resolve mail and fee premium audit disputes.
  • Complete and approve audit revisions within authority limits.
  • Plan workload in an efficient, productive manner while keeping current with assignments.
  • Serve as the primary company contact for underwriters, agents, and customers regarding premium audit questions and disputes received via email or through the premium audit phone queue.
  • Continue to develop auditing skills by participating in premium audit meetings, educational webinars, and other training opportunities.
  • Occasional local travel required with a field premium auditor to expand knowledge and understanding of the audit process.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
