Job Summary: The Hybrid Prep Cook / Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining kitchen efficiency by supporting both food preparation and sanitation. This position is responsible for assisting with basic food prep tasks while ensuring all kitchen tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Combination of prep work and dishwashing duties based on business needs
- Prolonged standing, bending, and lifting
- Exposure to hot and wet conditions
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food prep including chopping, slicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Follow recipes and instructions provided by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Properly label, store, and rotate food პროდუქტ (FIFO method)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical usage
- Maintain cleanliness of dish area, sinks, and surrounding workspaces
- Take out trash and recycling, keeping waste areas clean and organized
- Support overall kitchen cleanliness, including floors, walls, and storage areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Assist team members as needed during busy periods
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
