About The Position

Everyone must start somewhere, but you shouldn't have to start in a chaotic, disorganized kitchen. At the Thirsty Fox Pub & Grill, we are a high-volume, precision-run operation currently adding on and expanding. We are looking for a highly reliable, part-time Prep Cook who wants to learn about the restaurant industry the right way. If you have a great attitude and like to clean, we will teach you the rest. The Role (What You’ll Be Doing) You are the backbone of the kitchen. A successful Friday night rush is built on the prep work done earlier in the day. Your responsibilities will include:

Requirements

  • You're Eager to Learn: You are a sponge for knowledge and take pride in mastering basic knife skills and kitchen fundamentals.
  • You Hate Chaos: You prefer an environment that is organized, predictable, and clean.
  • You’re a Finisher: When a prep list is given to you, you check off every single item and clean your station before clocking out. Time management is important.
  • Experience: 0–1 years. No professional kitchen experience is required—just a "can-do" attitude and the ability to hustle.

Responsibilities

  • Chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and mixing our signature sauces exactly to our recipe standards so the Line Cooks are ready for service.
  • Keeping the walk-in coolers and dry storage perfectly organized, labeled, and rotated.
  • Jumping in to help wash dishes, re-stock the cook line, and help with general cleaning.
  • Maintaining a spotless workspace. We value a clean, safe kitchen over a chaotic one.
