About The Position

Overview We hire at 18+ years of age for this position! Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job) Cleans and prepares food for Line Cooks as needed. Assures that guests have a favorable dining experience.

Requirements

  • Ability to use all kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Ability to read and write basic instructions.
  • Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Ability to be creative.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of food.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
  • One (1) year kitchen experience needed.
  • On the job training may be available.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning.
  • Ability to bend, stoop and reach while carrying food product, equipment, trash/waste weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to lift, carry, deliver food items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout a scheduled shift.
  • Ability to work around 500 degree ovens and work within 40 degree walk-in refrigerators.
  • Ability to stand and walk continually throughout a 10 hr. shift.
  • If offered a position, we require successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of all raw and cooked foods for line cooks as needed.
  • Responsible for cleaning and cutting garnishes for menu and line cooks.
  • Responsible for cleaning and cutting garnishes for menu and line cooks.
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and guest.
  • Monitor and adjust performance to local competition.
  • Other duties as assigned.
