About The Position

The Prepared Foods Department Manager oversees daily operations of the Prepared Foods department at the Brownsboro Road location, ensuring department organization, production standards, food safety compliance, and team direction. This position reports directly to the Brownsboro Road Store Director. This is a full-time position, not to exceed 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • 1+ years' experience in food handling
  • 1+ years' experience in customer service
  • Must obtain Food Service Manager Certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Prepared Foods and Juicing ledgers, including tracking sales, invoices, spending, margins, and overall department performance
  • Train and guide team members on recipes, production processes, and food safety standards
  • Lead and participate in daily food and juice production
  • Manage Sales-to-Purchase (STP) processes by tracking sales and adjusting purchasing and production levels
  • Create and adjust production schedules based on sales volume and seasonality
  • Order ingredients and supplies while maintaining appropriate inventory levels
  • Manage department labor to align with sales and productivity goals
  • Direct team members to ensure efficient, safe, and organized daily operations
  • Ensure recipes are followed consistently while maintaining product quality
  • Develop and cost new recipes in alignment with department margin goals and customer demand
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, portion control, and quality expectations
  • Collaborate with the Store Director regarding department performance, staffing needs, and operational improvements
  • Ensure daily production is completed accurately and on schedule
