Requirements

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree and Maine State certification as Teacher of Exceptional Students (282 Birth - 5 yrs) or be eligible for 282 certification.
A letter of eligibility for 282 certification is required if less than professionally/provisionally certified.

Responsibilities

Planning and delivering instruction
Implementing goals for Individual Education Plans and monitoring progress
Coaching
Providing behavior management aligned with an integrated therapeutic model
Creating and maintaining a classroom culture that supports the therapeutic model
Providing oversight of Educational Technicians III assigned to their classrooms
