About The Position
Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS) Position Overview Christ Community Lutheran School is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher for Pre-K 4’s to join our mission of transforming lives through Christ-centered education. This position carries primary responsibility for the spiritual, social, emotional, and academic formation of young children in a developmentally appropriate, nurturing, and faith-filled classroom environment, in partnership with colleagues, families, and school leadership. The ideal candidate is a skilled, mission-aligned educator who is passionate about early childhood education, joyful and play-based learning, and the holistic development of young children within a distinctly Lutheran environment.
Requirements
- Valid teaching certification in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Demonstrated classroom management and instructional experience in preschool or early childhood settings
- Clear alignment with the CCLS mission, code of conduct, and statement of faith
- Membership in a Lutheran church congregation required
- Lutheran teacher diploma will be required within the first five years
- Rostered candidates will be issued a divine Call
Responsibilities
- Planning, preparing, and implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based, and structured learning experiences aligned with CCLS curriculum and mission
- Creating and maintaining a warm, safe, and structured classroom environment that supports social-emotional growth and positive behavior
- Guiding students in foundational skills including pre-literacy, early numeracy, fine motor development, and social skills
- Observing and assessing student development and communicating clearly with families regarding progress and growth
- Fostering independence, self-regulation, and respectful interactions among students
- Leading and participating in faculty collaboration, professional development, and school community life
- Integrating faith formation into daily classroom life, including prayer, Bible stories, songs, and conversations about God’s love and grace
- Collaborating effectively with any classroom aides, specialists, and early childhood colleagues
