About The Position

Oliver Inc. is seeking a Press Operator/ Feeder to support our Press Department. In this role, you will assist the Pressman with the setup, operation, and maintenance of press equipment, with a primary focus on paper handling and press support functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with printing experience who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. SHIFT: 2nd or 3rd

Requirements

1–3 years of experience in a printing or manufacturing environment (preferred)
Basic knowledge of press operations and paper handling
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with production equipment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic math skills (including fractions and measurements)
Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor equipment performance
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and handle materials throughout the shift

Responsibilities

Review daily production schedule and prepare materials for upcoming jobs
Verify paper stock using load tags and job specifications
Unload, stage, and load paper into press feeders
Set and adjust paper feed systems, including double sheet detectors and pressure settings
Monitor paper flow, feeder performance, and press operation during runs
Assist the Pressman with press operation and material handling
Maintain ink and water levels during production
Clean and maintain press components, including blankets and supplies
Retrieve, label, and store printing plates after each run
Perform basic preventative maintenance as directed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
