Position Summary The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and hotel facilities are maintained in excellent working condition through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs. This role plays a key part in delivering a safe, comfortable, and high-quality guest experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality or a similar environment
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working in various environments (indoors/outdoors, confined spaces, ladders)

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on guest rooms, including HVAC units, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and fixtures
  • Inspect rooms for maintenance needs, safety hazards, and brand standard compliance
  • Complete minor repairs such as painting, drywall patching, caulking, and fixture replacements
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues related to heating/cooling systems, lighting, plumbing leaks, and in-room equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed and report findings to management
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe
  • Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
