A heavy equipment lube technician performs preventative maintenance on heavy machinery by changing fluids, replacing filters, greasing components, and conducting basic inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational. Key responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance, documenting services, and coordinating with other technicians and operators. This role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to work in various weather conditions, and a valid driver's license. Perform scheduled maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and service on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns. Follow safety protocols: Adhere to safety regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and the proper use of chemicals. Perform preventative maintenance: Change engine oil, hydraulic fluid, and other lubricants; replace filters; and grease all necessary points on heavy machinery like excavators, bulldozers, and loaders and etc. Conduct inspections: Perform routine visual inspections of equipment for potential issues, checking fluid levels and identifying the need for repairs. Document services: Keep accurate and timely records of all maintenance performed using company systems and software. Maintain a safe work environment: Follow all safety procedures and protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
