About The Position

As a Pricebook Analyst, you are required to maintain the pricing and promotions for all items found at Midwest Petroleum Company’s retail locations. Pricebook also works closely with outside vendors to get UPCs and cost, to build and maintain vendor files of all items sold at Midwest Petroleum Company. Additionally, any issues found at the point of sale in our retail locations are directed to the Pricebook team to help fix the issue. Also, ensure all prices are updated as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes product information and ensures item pricing is accurate at the store level.
  • Provides system support to stores and marketing department.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Coordinates information between Company and vendor systems to ensure proper pricing for merchandise.
  • Sets up and maintains product promotions, including the setup of new products and/or product lines, in the price book system.
  • Monitors and controls retail pricing in the stores.
  • Ensures pricing data entered into the system is accurate and complete.
  • Researches and analyzes new product pricing/pricing exceptions and makes appropriate products classification decisions, based on criteria established in conjunction with the Market Director.
  • Identifies pricing implementation problems, recommends solutions, and communicates the course of action to appropriate areas within the organization.
  • Provides advice and guidance to Category Management, regarding the point of sale (POS) system implementation.
  • Identifies deficiencies in departmental policies, procedures, systems, and practices; recommends solutions accordingly.
  • Communicate with vendors to obtain information needed to maintain accurate product database files.
  • Compiles information and creates reports to bill vendors for rebates.
  • Provide support to retail locations via Midwest’s ticketing system.
  • Handle any other work that can be assigned at the supervisor's discretion.
