SAIA Corporate Internship Program –Pricing/Profitability Intern The SAIA Corporate Internship Program is a 10-week paid summer internship running from June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026. Interns gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful projects. The program includes a structured learning curriculum, mentorship, job shadowing, Lunch & Learns, and a capstone presentation to the Executive Team Position Summary Supports various departments by performing administrative tasks, assisting with projects, and gaining practical experience.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Rising juniors or rising seniors only
  • Learn and understand Operational and Sales initiatives within Saia, and the LTL industry.
  • Better understand characteristics and qualities that help improve top line revenue, and bottom-line margin.
  • Gain knowledge of various metrics that affect price and profitability. (Class, Density, Cube, PCF, Handling Units, Length of Haul, Weight per Shipment, etc.)
  • Digest and manipulate large data sets to understand Customer profiles.
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities between Pricing, Sales & Billing.
  • Learn the basics of contractual agreements and structure.
  • Observe negotiations between Pricing, Sales and Customers.

  • Assists with daily operations and administrative tasks.
  • Prepares and edits documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Helps organize and maintain files and records.
  • Supports team members with project-related activities and assignments.
  • Provides customer service support and answer inquiries.
  • Works with various teams to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.
