Fairview is seeking an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Physician to join our primary care practice at M Health Fairview Clinic – Stillwater. Responsibilities: Provides general patient care involving subjective and objective evaluation, assessment and formulation of a plan of care. Including the quality focus for the whole patient. Prescribes or administers treatment as determined by the plan of care. Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical problems and health care needs Consults with and make appropriate referral(s) to other health care providers as appropriate. Refers within the Fairview network. Mains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope. Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies. Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service. Assists in the development of new policies, programs, procedures or techniques. Participates in research, educational or other special projects or programs as needed. Dedicates majority of time to providing quality patient care and service. Participates equitably in responsibilities of patient care in designated department. May provide work direction to medical support and nursing staff in designated work unit. Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management Participates in call coverage rotation and other coverage needs for the site as needed Participates in clinic meetings Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients Practice Details: Join a team of 6 providers. Average patient volume of approximately 18-20 patients per day Opening: 1.0 FTE (34 patient contact hours) - flexible schedule. BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure. Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota. Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
