Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialist that will report directly to the Acquisitions Senior Manager, supporting multiple programs within the Advanced Product Solutions (APS) Raytheon business unit. The Principal Specialist will manage low volume and medium to high complexity subcontracts (domestic) and represent the Supply Chain organization at various levels on functional and cross functional teams to drive business success. In addition, the Principal Specialist serves as the focal point for communication between internal staff and supplier cross-functional organizations for all procurement activities. This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience working within SAP software application.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and administer multiple subcontract types, to include but not limited to, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursement, Time, and Materials, as well as development/R&D efforts.
  • Evaluate, identify, and select suppliers that meet Raytheon requirements.
  • Develop business partner relationship with suppliers.
  • Work closely with Program Office representatives and Engineering to define and implement procurement strategies and develop subcontract Statements of Work.
  • Solicit competitive and single/sole source proposals from prospective subcontractors, perform source selection analysis, and employ price and cost analysis techniques to make a fair and reasonable price determination.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance metrics and recommend/implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare subcontract documentation in accordance with established company, customer and government FAR and DFAR regulations.
