Summary of Role: We are seeking candidates for the position of Diffusion Process Engineer with a strong passion for developing processes for new technology offerings and advanced manufacturing, to expand GF’s technology portfolio.

Requirements

  • Education – Bachelor’s, Masters or Ph.D Degree in electrical / electronic / Mechanical / Microelectronics / Chemical process Engineering / Chemistry / Physics or related field.
  • Experience - Minimum 5 year of working experience in Furnace, Epitaxial films and/or Implant Process Development
  • Skills- Knowledge and hands on experience with Furnace and Implant tooling platforms and processes.
  • Travel - Up to 10%
  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience – Worked in 200mm fabrication facility.
  • Experience- Broad knowledge in diffusion process for power devices such as SCRs, IGBTs.
  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across product development and process integration to determine and develop furnace, epi and implant processes.
  • Develop and execute experiments to progress R&D projects in a 200mm High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) foundry environment.
  • Collaborate with experts across GF fabs to promote sharing and learning across fabs
  • Collaborate with Equipment Supplier to determine industry capabilities and evaluate options applicable to GF technology roadmap
  • Follow up with cross-fab benchmarking activities to engage the best-in-class practices across fabs.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
