About The Position

As the Principal Apparel, Merchandising for Design and Textiles (AMDT)Assistant, you will manage the administrative and personnel functions of the department and provide guidance to the chair on a wide range of operational matters. Your responsibilities include overseeing activities that involve multiple funding sources, including state, federal, gift, and scholarship funds, as well as managing Tartan sales and related operations. This position requires you to exercise independent judgment and make decisions on complex and confidential issues based on a broad knowledge of WSU policies and procedures

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other relevant field and four (4) years of progressively responsible management work experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill proficiency of financial, administrative systems or similar systems.

Nice To Haves

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Work, PowerPoint), Workday.
• Knowledge of WSU University Policies and Procedures.
