About The Position

The Principal Associate Engineer will support engineering activities such as design, test, inspection and modification of prototype electro-mechanical system fabrication and assembly, experimental design of circuits or special test equipment. He/She will assist engineer to complete significant and unique issues and carry out simple customer applications independently. He will also lead and train other technicians.

Requirements

8+ years industry experience, semiconductor working experience is preferred
Experience in operating and troubleshooting equipment and instruments, such as microscope, SEM, cross-sectioning polisher, ion-miller, and IR scanner
Experience in data collection and report compilation
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience in leading technician teams and projects
Advanced knowledge of electronics, electrical and machining skills
High School/ Technical School /Vocational school/College with technical level
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Willingness to work overtime on weekdays and weekends with short notification time

Nice To Haves

Working experience in manufacturing equipment will be a plus
Training experience related to Electro-Mechanical Engineering will be a plus

Responsibilities

Works on significant and unique issues and leads and trains other technicians.
Assembles complicated assemblies using sketches and verbal instructions
Assembles complex and advanced mechanical assemblies according to drawings, prints and assembly instructions
Installs assemblies and cabling onto equipment, and validates proper functionality
Performs equipment modifications as directed by development and manufacturing engineers
Maintain equipment and instrument according to standard calibration procedure
Liaises with the supplier and vendors in any support needed
Provides direct input to design engineers during the design phase
Holds discussion and presents results to engineering team
Carries out simple customer applications independently
