As a Principal Consultant for Propellint, a ReSource Pro company, you will be responsible for leading high-complexity insurance technology and data initiatives and serving as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders. The Principal Consultant operations with a high degree of independence, owning solution direction, business analysis leadership, and implementation oversight for strategically important client engagements. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 10-15 years' experience in business analysis, consulting, insurance operations, or technology implementation
  • Strong hands-on experience in insurance operations (claims, underwriting, policy, billing)
  • Proven experience leading complex system implementations
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect technical solutions to operational impact
  • High degree of analytical reasoning and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with minimal oversight
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and providing clear, structured guidance in evolving environments

Nice To Haves

  • CPCU, AIC, CBAP, PMI-PBA or similar insurance or analysis credentials preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business requirements activities from discovery through validation and approval
  • Facilitate structured stakeholder workshops to elicit, analyze, and document complex business needs
  • Own scope, definition, prioritization, dependency mapping, and change control in partnership with delivery leadership
  • Translate business requirements into actionable, prioritized deliverables aligned to implementation plans
  • Serve as the primary insurance domain subject matter expert for P&C insurance platforms, including policy, claims, billing, underwriting operations, and reporting systems
  • Apply real-world insurance operations experience to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and outcome-driven
  • Partner closely with client stakeholders and technical teams to validate requirements and solution intent
  • Ensure requirements are traceable through design, testing, and delivery phases
  • Lead implementation efforts from project kickoff through go-live across client, internal, and third-party teams
  • Partner with project managers to develop delivery plans, milestones, risk mitigation strategies, and dependency tracking
  • Oversee creation and maintenance of key delivery documentation, including functional specifications and test plans
  • Guide system configuration and solution design to ensure alignment with approved business requirements
  • Coordinate testing activities, including system testing, UAT preparation, and production readiness
  • Provide hands-on guidance to clients during UAT to support successful adoption and issue resolution
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery risks, issues, and client concerns
  • Ensure delivery quality, readiness, and adherence to implementation standards
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership across operational, technical, and strategic initiatives
  • Support executive-level communications, presentations, and decision-making forums
  • Build and sustain long-term client relationships that support repeat business and expanded engagements
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve client outcomes, efficiency, and platform utilization
  • Ensure system configurations accurately reflect real-world operational workflows and compliance needs
  • Advise on reporting, analytics, and data enablement strategies to support business insight
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting capabilities
  • Support platform adoption by aligning technology capabilities with business processes
