About The Position

We create innovative metrology, laser processing and solid-state energy devices that have a disruptive and immediate impact in high technology industries. The Principal Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced control systems for semiconductor manufacturing processes. This role requires a deep understanding of control theory, semiconductor equipment, and processes. Assignments call for up to 10% domestic and international travel. An individual that thrives in a collaborative working environment that flexes your skills as a technical leader. You have a deep understanding of control theory and algorithms on top of practical experience with real world hardware and applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical engineering, Control Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in control system design and implementation, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Proficiency in control theory, automation, and process optimization.
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of advanced control algorithms and techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Experience with software tools for control system design and simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Implement and optimize control algorithms to improve process efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with existing manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct system analysis and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
  • Mentor engineering team members in control system design and implementation.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in control technology and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
