About The Position

Position Summary... What you'll do... The Driver Trust & Safety team within OPD analytics is seeking a highly strategic and technically strong Principal Data Analyst to lead analytics for compliance initiatives across Last Mile. This role will serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, driving data-informed decisions that strengthen driver compliance frameworks, platform integrity, fraud & identity management and earnings transparency. You will operate across all Last Mile domains, with significant ownership supporting fraud & identity, Earnings Transformation, ensuring analytical rigor, measurable impact, and scalable reporting solutions. This is a high-visibility role requiring deep technical expertise, executive storytelling, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence within complex, high-scale environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, statistical modeling) and SQL for large-scale data manipulation.
  • Strong expertise in data mining, exploratory analysis, and statistical thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling data visualization solutions (Tableau, Looker, etc.) for executive audiences.
  • Working knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline fundamentals.
  • Proven ability to translate complex datasets into strategic narratives that drive executive decisions.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong business acumen and comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Option 3: 6 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in gig-economy, ecommerce or last-mile logistics ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Own compliance analytics strategy for Driver Trust & Safety, establishing scalable measurement frameworks and KPIs.
  • Lead complex data mining and exploratory analyses to identify risk patterns, compliance gaps, behavioral trends, and operational vulnerabilities.
  • Develop executive-ready dashboards and reporting solutions that provide actionable insights across Last Mile domains.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Earnings teams to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytical solutions.
  • Drive analytical support for Fraud & Identity Management, Earnings Transformation initiatives, including earnings transparency, fairness metrics, and incentive effectiveness.
  • Contribute to and optimize lightweight ETL processes, ensuring high data quality, reliability, and governance standards.
  • Influence senior leaders through compelling storytelling grounded in data.
  • Raise the analytical bar across the organization by mentoring analysts and defining best practices in data governance, documentation, and experimentation.
