About The Position

Mercury Systems IPS Data Processing business unit is developing sophisticated mission-critical embedded technology to withstand the most rugged environments. We have a career opportunity for an electrical engineer to provide technical oversight and direction to the hardware design team. This role is a technical lead in the HW design group, where one can lead a world class hardware team, as well as still making individual technical contributions to the team. The candidate will be a strong technical leader, providing technical oversight and direction to the hardware design team. This position will play a key role as a hardware engineering team member developing and sustaining data storage and transfer systems for the Data Systems Product Line, while contributing directly to hardware development efforts on programs. As a Principal Electrical Engineer at Mercury Systems, you will provide technical leadership and oversight to the hardware design team while making significant individual technical contributions. You will lead world-class engineering teams in developing sophisticated mission-critical embedded technology from below the ocean to orbiting in space. Lead challenging projects including the world's most secure processing and storage hardware, advanced FPGA RF and signal processing systems, Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) devices, advanced display technologies, and extreme environment electronics that power operations across Space, Air, Land, and Sea. This role requires serving as a technical expert and key liaison between program management, system engineering, mechanical design, software, and manufacturing. You will support proposals with architecting, technical volume writing, and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, while proactively proposing and implementing process improvements. At Mercury, we work with an Integrator Mindset, collaborating across sites and disciplines to create novel solutions that directly impact the security of our country and the safety of our world.
