Principal Embedded Software Engineer
About The Position
Basic Requirements: ● Bachelors Degree or equivalent ● 8+ yrs experience ● C / C++ development for safety-critical avionics systems ● Real-Time Operating Systems (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity) ● Embedded application development in Linux (Yocto/RHEL), Windows, & Bare Metal environments ● FPGA Software Experience o Experience with Xilinx FPGAs and Vivado o Experience with Xilinx/AMD and MicroSemi/Microchip part families internal FPGA fabric and IP. ● Flight Software Development Experience ● Digital simulation (SIL/MIL/HIL) and closed-loop testing ● Software integration & test in lab and hardware environments ● Test automation and verification frameworks ● Python for tooling, automation, and simulation support ● Hardware/software integration and troubleshooting ● Ability to work onsite 100% ● Ability to travel 25% Preferred / Additional Skills ● Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.) ● Version control and issue tracking (Gitlab, Atlassian suite) ● Proficient in Python development ● Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (Cameo, AADL) ● Experience with safety-critical software development and practices (DO-178C) ● Experience with Navigation, Guidance and Control Implementation ● Experience with Signal Processing Implementation ● Experience developing Embedded Flight Software ● Experience communicating and documenting complex technical designs ● Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment ● Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Sound Exciting?
