Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must have an active SECRET clearance.
  • Advanced degree in relevant field and 8+ years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 15+ years relevant experience.
  • Ability to meet and correspond regularly with a Government counterpart.
  • Experience conducting Quality Control checks/ensuring training requirements are met.
  • Ability to exercise a great deal of independent judgment.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably, have a minimum of 10 years of military experience.

Responsibilities

  • The Principal Engineer shall also function as the Project Manager (PM) and shall act with full authority on behalf of the Contractor on all contract matters relating to daily operation of services being provided under this contract. The PM shall perform other Performance Work Statement (PWS) duties and tasks in addition to his/her management duties and responsibilities.
  • Expertise providing support for events and activities requiring technical support for IT, AV, telecommunications, video conferencing, network administration, facility services, design, logistics, administration, security, and cybersecurity.
  • Experienced and capable to plan and manage information technical projects and operations; workforce management; and oversight and management of contract performance and deliverables.
  • Ongoing tasks will include maintaining, repairing, and upgrading/refreshing IT/AV systems and diagnosing and fixing problems or potential problems with the network and its hardware, software, and systems.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes for attaining/maintaining an Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation for compliance and in accordance with Department of Navy (DoN),Department of War (DoW),and federal policies.
  • Coordinating with the COR for all configuration changes to the AV network, all systems, including Windows systems, Cisco switches and other network devices operating in the environment as required.
  • Be familiar with Navy programs, codes and activities and have knowledge of military ranks and protocols. It is imperative for this person to have interpersonal skills required for interacting with clientele of all military ranks.
