We are looking for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our Microelectronics Factory team on 2nd shift. In this role, you’ll focus on making our production processes smarter and faster. You’ll be responsible for driving quality improvements and shortening cycle times by streamlining workflows and removing technical bottlenecks. By using data-driven tools like SPC and leading process improvement projects, you’ll ensure our microelectronics production is both efficient and reliable, helping us deliver high-quality solutions to the mission more effectively

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in a factory or shop floor setting, specifically working with complex hardware such as microelectronics, circuit cards (CCAs), or aerospace systems.
  • 5+ years of implementing and managing Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools (e.g., Minitab, JPM) to drive yield improvements and reduce defects.
  • 5+ years experience in CAD for designing tooling, fixtures and 3D fixturing.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, specifically within microelectronics production.
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementation and performing detailed process data analysis.
  • Experience establishing process baseline metrics and ensuring high-quality standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Experience with the manufacturing processes and transition to production of new products and processes to support volume manufacturing
  • Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis
  • Experience supporting and programming Wire and Ribbon bonding equipment.
  • Experience supporting and programing Die attach and dispensing equipment.
  • Working Knowledge of MIL-PRF-38534 and MIL-STD-883
  • Strong organization skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of RF Microelectronic products
  • Experience with the manufacturing processes and transition to production of new products and processes to support volume manufacturing
  • Experience with supporting a microelectronics assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).
  • Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.
  • Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
  • Adaptability to varying work assignments.
  • Active DoD Clearance (Secret)
