We have an exciting opportunity as a principal procurement specialist who will be responsible for the procurement activities associated with the Naval Power Closed In Weapons Systems Team (CIWS) that provides dedicated support managing procurements of multiple technologies for the CIWS program. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic growth-oriented environment that supports a broad portfolio of programs and reports to the Sr. Procurement Manager.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Experience with purchase order management, Negotiations, internal, across the businesses, external with suppliers.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as space, aviation, power generation
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Government contracts, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience with proposals and understanding of all phases of sourcing, procurement execution to include price negotiation reductions and terms and conditions.
  • Experience with automation tools.
  • Previous experience with integrated supply chain, including strategic procurement.
  • Experience interfacing with senior management on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Six Sigma and productivity improvement experience
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • Experience with Price Cost Analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (excel, Word, Power Point)
  • SAP System or PRISM Experience

Responsibilities

  • Review of SOW’s (Statements of Work) and In-house estimates
  • Creating PIA/NDA’s (Proprietary Information Agreement/ Non-Disclosure Agreement)
  • Aid in Drive the success for metrics, Late to Place, Late to Dock, Delinquent Material, etc.
  • Obtaining Proposal/Quotation activities from prospective subcontractors and employing various techniques to analyze cost/price, technical capability, and financial viability.
  • Evaluating, identifying, and selecting suppliers and business partners.
  • Supplier negotiations (price, schedules, terms & conditions)
  • Conduct investigations to ensure ability to perform within cost and schedule.
  • Monitoring and reporting cost, schedule and status of suppliers and recommends or implements corrective action as necessary.
  • Significant supplier interaction in collaboration with Business and Programs.
  • Managing Supplier's critical path in support of key program milestones
  • Engage with Business EXIM, Legal, Sr. Leaders, and Gate Reviews
  • Negotiating and administering multiple General Acquisitions/Subcontracts efforts simultaneously
  • Preparing General Acquisitions/Subcontracts documentation in accordance with established company, customer, and government regulations
  • Managing suppliers and Purchase Orders (PO) from creation through delivery in a depot environment
