The role: Principal Product Manager, Ad Tech (Inventory Monetization) Genius Sports is building the next generation of sports advertising where real-time sports data, fan signals, and immersive formats create entirely new monetization opportunities across live and digital experiences. We are looking for a Principal product leader to own the inventory monetization product layer of our advertising platform. This role is responsible for transforming our owned & operated inventory and emerging ad formats into scalable, repeatable revenue through programmatic, deal-based, and direct monetization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with significant time spent on:
  • Ad tech platforms
  • Programmatic marketplaces
  • Ad serving/creative platforms
  • Proven track record owning platform-level systems, not just feature roadmaps.
  • Strong commercial instincts and comfort being accountable for revenue outcomes
  • Ability to reason deeply about
  • SSP / DSP architectures
  • Inventory schemas and APIs
  • Deal matching logic
  • Measurement pipelines and attribution
  • Systems thinker who can operate across multiple product teams.
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders across Sales, Engineering, and Leadership.
  • Commercially opinionated, with the ability to say “no” in service of long-term scalability.
  • Trusted partner to engineers and credible counterpart to revenue teams.
  • Operates with a business-owner mindset.

Responsibilities

  • You will act as the product owner of monetization systems across Genius Sports. Defining how inventory is structured, packaged, priced, sold, and automated across all advertising surfaces.
  • Define and evolve Genius Sports’ inventory taxonomy and ad product catalog
  • Standardize ad units, metadata, and schemas to enable scalable monetization.
  • Drive supply enablement & automation
  • Generative creative system: Enable advertisers to activate new formats at scale with minimal operational friction.
  • Act as the horizontal monetization owner across several Genius Sports Product lines.
