About The Position

As the Principal Product Manager for Sales Tools, you will own the end‑to-end roadmap for the sales tooling ecosystem that turns Zillow’s data into actionable insights for our sales teams and partners. You will combine hands-on product ownership with leadership responsibilities, navigating the complexities of implementing new tools and capabilities, driving adoption of AI‑powered experiences, and making strategic decisions about where Zillow should build versus integrate market‑leading third-party platforms. This role is highly visible within Zillow Rentals and is critical to defining and delivering solutions that empower our Sales teams to create data‑driven, consultative experiences for customers, driving engagement and revenue across our rentals marketplace. You will work closely with leaders and teams across Zillow to align on a compelling vision for sales tools and deliver measurable impact.

Requirements

  • You have extensive experience partnering with B2B Sales teams and building tools or capabilities that meaningfully improve their productivity and effectiveness.
  • You have a deep understanding of what AI can—and cannot—do for B2B sales, and you know how to apply ML/AI thoughtfully to real sales workflows.
  • 10+ years of product management or closely related experience guiding cross‑functional teams to deliver measurable business impact.
  • You are skilled at understanding customer and stakeholder needs and translating them into clear, easy‑to-understand product requirements and experiences.
  • You bring a sharp analytical mindset and modeling skills that enable you to make timely, data-driven recommendations and provide clarity for your teams and partners.
  • You are an outstanding collaborator who leads product development across cross-functional teams in an agile, fast-paced environment, often without direct authority.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and diverse perspectives and can synthesize inputs into actionable recommendations that drive impact for partners.
  • You are passionate about storytelling with data and equipping Sales and partner‑facing teams with insights that support compelling, consultative conversations.
  • You manage your time and priorities effectively across multiple complex initiatives and thrive in a distributed, remote environment.
  • You have experience in B2B enterprise environments and understand what it takes to enable sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the end‑to-end sales tools roadmap, using proprietary Zillow data to create a unified, insight-rich experience from lead generation through post-close partner success.
  • Build and improve tools that transform raw data into customer-facing insights on market trends, occupancy, and renter behavior, enabling data-driven, consultative sales conversations.
  • Lead the AI and automation strategy for sales workflows, including integrating Generative AI and predictive “next best action” recommendations that help sales teams prioritize high‑value opportunities.
  • Define and execute a clear buy‑vs‑build strategy for the sales technology stack, conducting technical and financial assessments to determine where to create proprietary capabilities and where to integrate best-in-class B2B SaaS solutions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, Sales Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Training to design, build, launch, and iterate on tools that support prospecting, engagement, and churn prevention.
  • Use a data‑driven, user‑centric approach to evaluate product performance, test hypotheses, and scale initiatives that deliver measurable impact for Sales and our partners.
  • Dive deep into current processes to identify and prioritize opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness, and lead cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
  • Operate effectively in a fully remote, fast-paced environment, driving alignment across diverse stakeholders and keeping the roadmap responsive to rentals industry trends and market dynamics.
