Responsibilities

  • Frequently interact with customers, partners, and internal business stakeholders to develop an understanding of pain points and unmet needs.
  • Work with the MA offering leadership to conduct market, regulatory, and competitive research to identify new attractive market opportunities, and assist with customer segmentation.
  • Develop and articulate the value proposition for the various solutions.
  • Establish the strategy for product expansion and for introducing product adjacencies.
  • Establish the strategy for advancing internal operational capabilities.
  • Validate the product strategy with lean development principles and agile experimentation, working hand on hand with the software development organization.
  • Work with the commercial and operational teams to ensure operational readiness and drive go to market activities as needed.
  • Drive prioritization across various internal and external constituents.
  • Develop and clearly communicate execution roadmaps, and be the owner of the rolling roadmap processes.
  • Drive the details of the execution plans with the software development organization, including resource planning and prioritization.
  • Manage the solution development lifecycle for new capability builds, including: development of new services capabilities, partnering with internal and external experts as needed; providing relevant inputs to technology enablement partners (internal & external) to facilitate development activities; and development of required implementation tools and playbooks.
  • Document user requirements for implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technical resources to ensure the accurate translation of business requirements to technical requirements as needed for development.
  • Leverage analytics and data-driven decision making, coupled with intuition and a good understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and health plan operations.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments, advances, and trends in healthcare and healthcare technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare and health plans.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management.
  • A customer focused leader.
  • Experience in Medicare Advantage is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable presenting to and communicating with customers and executives.
  • Competitive and entrepreneurial mind-set to drive solution-market fit and grow solutions in new and existing markets.
  • Experience in product management for technology-enabled products and services.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management.
  • Experience with healthcare economics (specifically payer and provider value-based reimbursement), healthcare market trends, and rapidly acquiring information through various sources to make educated judgements.
  • Collaborative mindset to work with a cross-section of engineering, sales, marketing, clinical, operations, and analytics to develop solution-oriented products.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
