As Principal Product Manager, you’ll lead the development of our AI networking capabilities on Equinix Fabric, the world's leading digital interconnection product. In this role, you will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a suite of services that enable secure, high-performance, and scalable network connectivity for AI workloads. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of networking technologies, a strong background in product management, and hands-on experience working at a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, etc.), Networking technology company or AI-native company. You will be a hands-on leader, working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and cross-functional teams to bring new networking solutions to market and drive business growth. Responsibilities Product Strategy: Define and execute the long-term product vision and strategy for our AI networking services, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and business case development Roadmap & Execution: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch, adoption, and end-of-life planning. Prioritize features and initiatives to maximize business value and customer impact Technical Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for networking technologies, including routing, switching, firewalls, and protocols, as they apply to AI and machine learning workloads. Understand how our services integrate with major public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and articulate the value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences Market & Customer Insight: Conduct in-depth market research, analyze customer needs, and gather user feedback to identify new opportunities and validate product concepts. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, UX/UI, and program management to translate customer needs into detailed product requirements and user stories. Work with sales, marketing, and field teams to develop go-to-market strategies, training materials, and sales enablement content Performance Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products and inform future decisions Thought Leadership: Act as a public advocate for our products through blog posts, conference presentations, and customer meetings Who You Are A transformational product or engineering leader who thrives on driving bold change through data but can act and activate the team without having all the answers A global thinker and systems-level strategist who connects vision to execution Qualifications 7+ years of product management or engineering leadership experience in a technology-focused environment at a Hyperscale Cloud Service Provider, Networking technology company or AI-native company, with a significant focus on networking products or services Deep technical expertise in networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, BGP, SDN, and network security Extensive hands-on experience at a major hyper scale cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI), including a strong understanding of their networking services Proven track record of defining and launching successful Networking Services products. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform product decisions Why Join Us? Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
