About The Position

The ARA Transportation Division is seeking an experienced program control analyst to support our work with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This is a part-time position (32 hours/week), and ideal candidates will be based in the Egg Harbor Township, NJ or Washington, DC area. What you will do as a principal program control analyst: This position supports the FAA’s R&D management division to accomplish its mission by providing: Program planning and analysis Document preparation and program management Research, engineering & development (RE&D) portfolio planning and financial management Technology transfer (T2) implementation Internal and external communication and outreach The principal program control analyst will support two key initiatives for the R&D Executive Board (REB) and the Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in any field that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
  • 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Must meet FAA suitability requirements to work on FAA contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the annual update of the R&D Portfolio Development Process – Guidance Reference Document, including schedule information and budget targets.
  • Coordinate meetings (e.g., create draft meeting agendas, collect data, and prepare meeting handouts and briefings).
  • Create management briefings.
  • Ensure any content produced for distribution fully conforms to Access Board Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Standards (i.e., FAA Order 1351.23) and Section 508 requirements.
  • Coordinate with the FAA to develop the RE&D investment portfolio.
  • Provide support to the RE&D budget formulation development process, including developing and updating the RE&D budget formulation platform to include documentation, preparing the user training guide and conducting user training, and preparing “lessons learned” documentation.
  • Format, edit, and/or compile report(s) to post on FAA’s Knowledge Services Network (KSN).
