About The Position

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Principal Project Engineer to join our team! What You'll Be Doing: Perform a variety of roadway engineering tasks such as geometric design, engineering analyses, and project plan development. Prepare engineering design plans, engineering computations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates. Assist the project manager in executing and delivering project assignments. Coordinate and communicate with internal team and external clients/agencies. May plan, lead, and supervise junior engineers on the same assignments. Participate in project meetings as well as participate in site visits and field inspections as required. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 15 years or more of experience in roadway-related fields.
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) registration is strongly desirable.
  • Caltrans projects experience and knowledge of Caltrans standards, policies, and manuals.
  • Proficient in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and practices as well as solve complex engineering problems.
