Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredit university
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in electrical utilities construction project management
  • PMP or be willing to obtain PMP within 24 months
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Accenture hiring requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience administering large dollar projects
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Knowledge and experience in underground electric distribution construction projects
  • Proficient users of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety policies

Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholders and multiple project teams, acting as a coach and mentor.
  • Coach, develop, and manage other Project Managers for associated complex projects, ensuring a good working relationship between project managers, line managers, and employees assigned to the project.
  • Manage finances, cost engineering, scheduling, environmental considerations, regulatory agency requirements, labor problems, public and client relations, employee relations, and changing laws.
  • Interface with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirements and serve as the primary communicator with the sponsor and key stakeholders on project issues.
  • Provide project status updates to the Program Manager and the customer’s manager of project management.
  • Identify and obtain project team resources, ensuring project team members understand their respective responsibilities.
  • Be responsible and accountable for overall project performance, including scope, quality, schedule, and innovation for the most complex and high-risk projects.
  • Review contractor’s invoices for accuracy and completeness, and lead regularly scheduled, detailed project presentations.
  • Ensure project costs are managed, including the development of a recovery plan to stay within budget limits.
  • Coach and lead team members to ensure that they can complete task plans, spending plans, and communication plans.
