About The Position

We are seeking an experienced hands-on Principal Reliability Engineer to lead and develop next generation high-speed, high performance and low power semiconductor products in advanced process node. The ideal candidate possesses breadth of industry experience in the field of reliability engineering for CMOS and bipolar technology, multi-chip module via substate or silicon interposer, and/or integrated device with optical modules. The candidate will drive reliability plan across all product families, evaluate new process node and work with designers to achieve design for reliability, evaluate new packaging technology and assess reliability risk, assist failure localization and physical FA for failure disposition, and own reliability report for customer communication.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of reliability engineering dealing with complex SOC.
  • Minimum of 5 years in leadership role.
  • Strong academic/technical background in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MS required; PhD preferred
  • Strong fundamentals in semiconductor device engineering, product qualification requirement, reliability failure modes, and various device aging effects
  • Excellent team player with great communication skills
  • Professional attitude with the ability to prioritize a dynamic list of multiple tasks
  • Hands on experience in product/package qualification, hardware setup and failure disposition
  • Expertise in process reliability, design for reliability, reliability for advanced package, and reliability prediction and modelling
  • Experience in reliability stress conditions, sampling size, and failure rate calculation
  • Experience in leading edge technology adoption including advanced process node and 2.5D/3D packaging
  • Product level experience with complex SOCs: logic, memory, DDR, high-speed XCVR
  • Energetic work mindset meeting the demands of shipping quality parts to Astera Labs’ customers throughout the product life cycle
