About The Position

Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP BTP Consultant As a Principal Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team and subject matter expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology. This position is based in Clevland, Ohio. The role may require travel to project/Client's location. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time Preferred Qualifications Atleast 11 years in leading end‑to‑end architecture for SAP BTP Integration Suite solutions (patterns for A2A, B2B, event‑driven, API‑led connectivity). Atleast 5 years hands‑on with SAP BTP & Integration Suite; 5 years in ABAP with at least 2 years ABAP Cloud/RAP. Define extension strategy (side‑by‑side on BTP vs in‑app via ABAP Cloud), leveraging RAP, CDS, OData V2/V4, CAP where applicable, and SAP’s clean core principles. Event‑driven integrations using SAP Event Mesh, S/4HANA business events, and asynchronous patterns for resiliency. Establish API-first designs using SAP API Management: policies (quotas, rate‑limit, OAuth2), life‑cycle, and developer portal. Develop Cloud Integration (CPI) iFlows, adapters (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, Salesforce, JDBC, SFTP, HTTP), error handling, reprocessing, and Groovy scripts. Implement ABAP Cloud (Steampunk/Embedded) solutions: RAP BOs, behavior definitions, service bindings, CDS views, Business Events, and strict released APIs usage. Expose/consume OData/REST services, design destinations, and handle principal propagation. Own DevSecOps: transport and change via TMS for BTP, gCTS/CTS+, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins), unit tests (ABAP Unit), integration tests, automated quality gates Design identity & access with SAP IAS/IPS, role collections, OAuth2/SAML/JWT, BTP destinations, and secure credential storage. Define monitoring & observability using SAP Cloud ALM / SAP Solution Manager, Integration Suite message monitoring, alerting/Splunk integration. Drive cost governance for subaccounts, services, autoscaling, and resource quotas. Ensure data privacy, regulatory & audit requirements (PII masking, retention, logging standards). Translate business processes (Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to-Pay, Record‑to‑Report, Hire‑to‑Retire) into architectural roadmaps and integration backlogs. Provide guidance to developers, review designs/code, run architecture boards, and resolve cross‑platform design issues. Create solution documentation: HLD/LLD, security models, runbooks, support playbooks, and KT. The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
