About The Position

The C2BMC Next Program, based in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Cyber Engineer who will develop and test patches to fix Software, Hardware and Firmware vulnerabilities. Your primary responsibilities will be concentrating on vulnerability management including analysis and remediation of IAVMs, Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs), Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs), Vendor Patches and STIG configurations on the C2BMC program. As a Cyber Engineer, you will work independently or with a small group and be flexible in a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment.

Requirements

  • Experience configuring and patching Windows systems with Group Policy Objects (GPO)
  • Hands on experience scripting, installing, and testing on Windows hosts across Active Directory domains
  • Experience leading a software team using Agile software development practices.
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

  • Command and control system application development - Previous experience with message translation software
  • Automated test and pipeline development experience
  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools: Experience using Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms for scheduling, task management, and tracking project progress.
  • Agile Methodology Expertise: Strong understanding and application of Agile methodologies, including SCRUM, for iterative development and team collaboration.
  • Risk Management: Skilled in identifying potential risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing proactive solutions to ensure project success.
  • Requirements Management: Experience in decomposing, prioritizing, and managing technical and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Technical Lead on the Cyber Patch team. In this elevated role, the individual will serve as the designated point of contact and subject Matter expert, overseeing the monitoring and coordination of releases through the Integrated Configuration Control Board (ICCB) and at CTF/MDIOC sites.
  • Installation and configuration of Linux from the OS up to the application level.
  • Documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps for the labs
  • Develop test plans/procedures for software integration and unit test.
  • Work with software developers and/or vendors as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during system integration.
  • Submit problem reports for errors found per Agile processes and coordinate daily integration activities with other Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Development and implementation of Cyber Releases in the National Team labs, C2BMC Test Facility, and Operations.
  • Installing and unit testing Cyber Products
  • Providing redlines to engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership
  • Documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards will be required in daily tasks as well.
