Careers That Change Lives Medtronic is growing and seeks a Principal Software Engineer – Full Stack to help define and build the next generation of Medtronic’s image-guided surgery and robotic systems. This is a hands-on, impactful role where your work directly contributes to our mission: alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life for patients around the world. In this role, you will: Apply your technical expertise to deliver software that impacts real people every day. Take full ownership of your work across the entire software lifecycle — from concept to launch. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, security, quality, regulatory, and testing teams to build and deliver real-world products. Design and develop scalable, cloud-based software solutions using technologies such as Java Spring Boot or C# ASP.NET Core, React (or Angular), TypeScript, Python, AWS, Docker, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. Architect and implement secure, maintainable backend services and RESTful APIs. Mentor and uplift your peers through thoughtful code reviews and collaborative problem-solving, promoting best practices and sound engineering trade-offs. Champion scalable, testable, and observable software that’s designed for long-term success. Lead technical initiatives independently, providing deep technical insight and architectural guidance. Communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders — translating complex technical details into clear, actionable insights.
