About the position

Are you interested in building intelligent, scalable systems that power next-generation AI experiences? The Microsoft Copilot Studio team within the Business Industry Copilot (BIC) organization is at the forefront of enabling makers and developers to build, publish, and manage copilots that extend across Microsoft 365 and beyond. We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join our team and lead the design and development of core capabilities in the Control Plane as part of the Publish, Sharing & Channels areas of the product. As a Principal Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and execution of mission-critical services that enable seamless copilot lifecycle management, secure sharing, and multichannel publishing. You’ll work closely with product, design, and partner teams across Microsoft to deliver high-impact features that empower users and scale across millions of tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of core capabilities in the Control Plane.
  • Shape the architecture and execution of mission-critical services.
  • Enable seamless copilot lifecycle management.
  • Facilitate secure sharing and multichannel publishing.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and partner teams to deliver high-impact features.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software engineering and system design.
  • Strong understanding of scalable systems and AI technologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in leading engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and multichannel publishing.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles.
