About The Position

As a Principal Software Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for acting as the subject matter expert by providing technical guidance, vision, and leadership on critical software development projects. You will take ownership of technical solutions, drive innovation, and ensure the highest standards of quality and performance. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the strategic vision and execution of critical software development projects, shaping the technical direction of the organization, mentoring teams, and driving innovation to deliver world-class software solutions.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience leading software development projects.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python.
  • Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges, providing creative and effective solutions.
  • Expertise in software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
  • Due to compliance within the U.S export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S Person, which is defined as, a U.S citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

  • Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring the production of robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
