Job Description: Job Family Definition: Designs, plans, develops and manages a product or portfolio of products throughout the solution portfolio lifecycle: from new product definition or enhancements to existing products; planning, design, forecasting, and production; to end of life. Leads or participates in cross-functional initiatives and contributes to mentorship and knowledge sharing across the organization. We are looking for an experienced and strategic Principal Product Manager to lead the product lifecycle of our core infrastructure within Private Cloud. This role requires a strong background in datacenter infrastructure hardware, along with deep experience in CPQ systems, SKU management, pricing strategies, and financial planning. You will partner cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, finance, and sales to define and deliver high-value infrastructure offerings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study.
  • 10+ years of work experience in related field
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
  • Knowledge and Skills: Extensive team skills and ability to cross functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
  • Extensive skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis
  • Extensive business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy for Private Cloud hardware infrastructure: servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
  • Define and manage global product SKUs, configurations, and pricing structures for both standard and custom builds.
  • Lead product lifecycle management, including new product introduction (NPI), transitions, and end-of-life planning.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, and factory teams to align product specs with production capabilities and timelines.
  • Partner with finance and operations to model cost structures, optimize margins, and forecast demand.
  • Enable and support accurate CPQ (Configure Price Quote) processes across sales teams and channel partners.
  • Drive decisions around sourcing, vendor selection, and inventory planning based on product and market strategy.
  • Provide leadership across cross-functional forums and serve as the SME on infrastructure hardware and operations.
