About The Position

As a Principal Technical Program Manager in the Global Technology Vendor Management Office, you will lead complex, multi-functional technology projects and programs that will impact experiences for multiple groups across the firm. In this role, you will provide both technical and commercial leadership for hardware transactions, leveraging deep expertise in infrastructure, networking, and vendor management. You will drive execution of high-value vendor transactions, ensuring optimal technical solutions and cost-effective outcomes through strategic negotiations and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of demonstrated proficiency in technical solutions, vendor product knowledge, managing vendor relations, and implementing solutions
  • Advanced analytical reasoning skills, applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, and operational objectives
  • Proven ability in leading through change, managing dependencies, and controlling change in high-pressure, shifting environments
  • Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, establishing productive relationships, and driving beneficial outcomes aligned with firm objectives
  • Deep expertise in IT infrastructure, hardware, networking, security, cloud computing, and business continuity
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in procurement analytics, modeling, and strategic analysis for high-impact transactions
  • Experience managing and influencing technology teams, delivering strategic solutions, and providing guidance through technology governance controls

Responsibilities

  • Oversee complex technology project execution and timelines while mitigating risks and addressing roadblocks
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, providing direction and defining decision-making procedures for beneficial outcomes
  • Guide the selection of appropriate technologies, platforms and tools leveraging advanced technical fluency
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying process optimization opportunities, incorporating best practices, and staying abreast of emerging technologies
  • Provide technical and commercial leadership for hardware and infrastructure transactions, ensuring optimal solutions and cost-effective outcomes
  • Lead strategy formulation for high-value technology agreements, consistently leading to cost savings and favorable commercial terms
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct comprehensive vendor proposal evaluations, including financial analysis and impact modeling, to inform executive decision-making
  • Develop executive-level presentations and business cases to communicate findings, recommendations, and drive data-informed decisions
